Cultural Experiences

Bath - World Heritage City

Lessons would usually be in the morning so that you can have the afternoons free to explore the beautiful city yourself. Please note I do not book excursions or restaurants etc. for you. You could, for example, visit the Thermae Bath Spa for some relaxation, join one of the free walking tours to learn about the history, visit the world renowned Royal Crescent or take afternoon tea in the Pump Rooms. If you are fond of literature, you could visit the Jane Austen Centre. Or why not take an open-top double decker bus ride around the city? You can even kayak on the river!

In and Around Bath

Bath is situated in the southwest of England and is surrounded by beautiful countryside. It is only two hours by train from London and an hour from Salisbury and Stonehenge. You could visit the Cotswolds, beautiful typically English villages in an area of outstanding natural beauty. Or spend some time in Bristol, a bigger city with attractions such as Brunel's famous ship the SS Great Britain.

Accommodation and Food

Before you arrive, I offer a free one-hour Zoom call to discuss your trip and offer you different accommodation options, which you book yourself according to your budget/preference from:

  1. Backpacker hostel/self-catering (cheapest)
  2. Bed&Breakfast (middle)
  3. Hotel (more expensive)

All options will be in the city so you can attend your lessons easily on foot or by a short 10-minute bus ride from the city centre.

I will also provide you with information on different eating options including pub food, fish n' chips, places to grab a snack as well as restaurants to suit different tastes and budgets.
